We Participated in the Fourth Summit of Retirement Living World China

The Fourth Summit Retirement Living World China and the first Aged Care Service International Seminar have been held successfully in Shanghai from October 21st to 24th, 2014.  Managing Partner Michael Qu Qin and Senior Foreign Lawyer Joseph Christian of our law office were invited to attend the Summit, discussing and exchanging views with various leaders in the aged care industry from different places of China and worldwide on the subjects of the prospects of investment, market strategy, operation growth opportunity and business models in the aged care industry.

In this Summit, Michael Qu Qin hosted an “Investors Conclave” with the theme of introducing legal issues in China’s aged care industry. Standing in the new historical starting point of the "12th Five-Year Period", he elucidated laws and policies related to China’s aged care industry macroscopically so that relevant industrial investors managed to have initial understanding of the investment risks and must-knows in the aged care industry.  In the main forum of the Summit, Michael, from the perspective of China's current tax system, explained and introduced tax exposure in different phases during the process of aged care investment, tax discrepancy in various modes as well as how to profit from investment by using preferential policy, etc., carrying on an all-round analysis on tax issues in the aged care projects investment. In the break of the conference, the guests and attendees actively explored and interacted with Michael, and applauded Michael’s informative and enlightening speech.
